Yolande practices general civil law. Her areas of expertise include all family matters to include divorce and separation issues. She has extensive knowledge of land law which covers all aspects of Conveyancing such as the buying and selling of real estate, sub-divisions, landlord and tenant matters including the preparation and negotiation of lease agreements. Her knowledge of Planning Law allows her to apply to the Court for Modification of Restrictive Covenants and to assist persons/entities to apply for and obtain Planning Permission and the relevant environmental permits required by law.
She also practices commercial law to include inter alia preparing and reviewing contracts, joint venture agreements and incorporating all types of Companies and other Associations, charitable or otherwise, transfers of shares as well as some aspects of Civil Litigation in the Supreme Court of Jamaica
Yolande works along with many Strata Corporations to assist in the recovery of maintenance arrears and is very familiar with the provisions of the new Strata Legislation.
Her strong work ethics is complimented by her pleasant and kind personality. She is the holder of a Bachelor’s of Science(Hons) in Psychology from the University of West Indies and a Bachelor’s of Law(Hons) from the University of London. She went on further to receive her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in September 2008 and was subsequently called to the Bar to practice law in Jamaica in November 2008. Her positive outlook on life and her ability to negotiate matters has allowed her to successfully complete 40 hours of Supreme Court Mediation Training.
